These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AfireFaith (the “App”), operated by AfireFaith LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms replace and supersede any default end-user license agreement provided by an app store, including Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (LAEULA).
1. Description of the Service
The App provides access to devotional Catholic prayer content and features, including subscription-based functionality.
Content available in the App may include scripture readings, prayers, devotional guides, and audio reflections sourced from or inspired by materials including the USCCB Daily Readings and other Catholic devotional resources.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that any feature will always be available.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep your account information up to date.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features of the App require a paid subscription.
The App may offer subscriptions including $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Pricing and subscription options may change and will always be displayed in the App before purchase.
Subscriptions may include a 7-day free trial. Unless cancelled before the end of the trial period, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled through your app store account settings before the renewal date.
All subscriptions, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the applicable app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store) and managed through RevenueCat, which we use solely to verify subscription status and entitlements.
We do not process payments directly and do not store payment card information.
Refunds are handled by the app store and are subject to the app store’s policies. Go to https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions to manage your subscriptions in Google Play.
Deleting or uninstalling the App does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions must be canceled through the app store account used to purchase the subscription.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App or its security
- Circumvent, bypass, or attempt to bypass subscription or access controls
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the App’s source code, except where prohibited by law
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action for violations of these Terms.
5. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by AfireFaith LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Certain devotional materials and prayers referenced or adapted in the App may originate from publicly available Catholic devotional sources including USCCB Daily Readings, RosaryAndChaplets.com, uniquerosarybeads.com, thedivinemercy.org, dynamiccatholic.com, and mycatholic.life.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
No rights are granted except as expressly stated.
6. Devotional Content Disclaimer
The App provides devotional and educational Catholic prayer content for personal spiritual reflection.
Devotional content provided through the App is intended for personal prayer and informational purposes. While we strive to present accurate readings, prayers, and liturgical information, we do not guarantee that all content will be complete, current, or free from error.
The content in the App is not intended to replace pastoral guidance, spiritual direction, or professional counseling.
AfireFaith LLC is not affiliated with or officially endorsed by the Catholic Church, the Holy See, or any diocese unless explicitly stated. Users should consult qualified clergy or spiritual advisors for pastoral or theological matters.
Use of the App is voluntary and at your own discretion.
7. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees, which are governed by the app store’s policies.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits may not apply to you in full.
10. Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, and the decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding.
You agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Applicability of Local Laws
If you access the App from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
